Supper Bowl: The breaking of the bread and the sharing of the common cup were followed by a meal that, at Qumran, was served in hemispherical-shaped bowls. At Essene communal meals, the bowl was mentioned explicitly as a means to insure that each member received an equal and modest portion of food. After the meal was finished the bowl could be used for drinking. 4" x 5".
